Tropical countries continue to experience accelerated processes of degradation and loss of native ecosystems by anthropic activities of land use change, therefore it is urgently needed to study the native ecosystems of reference and seek recovery alternatives for the restoration of degraded areas. Considering this reality, we propose the formation of a network specialized in contributing to the conservation, recovery and restoration of nature and culture with the participation of local communities.
The pilot project works on the generation of Nature-Culture baselines using the “Participatory socio-ecological research method”.
